Patients on long-term medication may request repeat prescriptions. We accept such requests by post, fax or in person: please endeavour to use your computer-printed slip at all times. Please use the most recent slip as there may be changes from an older one.
Alternatively you may order online via the link at the top of this page. First you must register in person at the surgery where we will issue you with a username and password. Please bring photo identification with you for your own security. Registration is a one off process and applies to those aged 18 and over. Once registered you will be able to order your prescriptions online.
We do not accept requests for repeat prescriptions over the telephone, as this can lead to mistakes. Please do not write annotations or comments on your prescription slip.
A prescription ‘post box’ is available in the reception area to avoid the need to queue to hand in repeat prescription requests and a box is available outside when the surgery is closed.
Repeat prescriptions take two working days to be processed so please do not expect to collect them before this time.
If you enclose a stamped, self-addressed envelope we will return your prescription and re-order slip to you. If you have arranged for a pharmacy to collect your prescription on your behalf please indicate the name of the pharmacy on your request form.
Due to continual review of patient medication, taking into account recommended doses, safety guidelines, changing process, interaction between drugs, you may find your usual medication has been changed to an equivalent alternative – you will always receive a written notification. If you have any concerns, please speak to your usual GP.
From time to time your doctor may wish to see you to review your condition and your on-going medication. Your doctor may ask you to have a blood test or blood pressure check. You may be advised to make an appointment with the practice nurses in a specialised clinic rather than a doctor's surgery appointment.
