Profile of our new Area Manager Mandy Black

Mandy is an experienced healthcare professional, previously working as Practice Manager and a Patient Services Manager in Corby for many years. Having already been fundamental in supporting the work of the Headlands Practice in Kettering, Mandy will now be responsible for the service provided to around 60,000 patients in our sites combined. She will be supported by Lakeside's Executive Team, Operations Manager Tracey Sumpter and three site-based Patient Services Managers.

Mandy said:

‘It has been quite a rise in terms of career, but the challenge does not concern me. In Lakeside Healthcare there is continued support between the team, and we share our experience along with expertise. I’m looking to implement change and share plans on how our three sites can collaborate working styles. We need to look at what is working well, and standardise where it makes sense to do so. This means that patients across Northamptonshire have the same service and level of care.

‘I am a people person, who can be trusted to get things done. I have an open-door policy for all colleagues, and I am very much focused on our patients; having forged close relationships with co-workers, partners and patient groups including PPGs. The challenge in this role is to build positive relationships across the board and drive changes to improve patient care and staff experience.’
